JELISE CHUNG

Having worked in different countries such as the USA, Singapore, and Malaysia, Jelise Chung’s artistry is shaped by both Western and Southeast Asian sensibilities in design and imagery. She graduated cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Mass Communication. She began her career as an Art Director, but her fascination with the evolution of film and video led her to shift into commercial production. She later worked as an in-house director for Director’s Think Tank in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where she shot commercials across Asia, including Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Now based in Manila, she is an in-house director at UxS, Inc., where she continues to create commercials for a wide range of brands. She has handled projects for major clients such as Meralco, JS Unitrade, San Miguel Corporation, Procter & Gamble, Unilab, Colgate-Palmolive, and Nestlé Philippines, among others. She also directed the film Missed Connections, which streamed on Netflix. Chung sees each project as both a challenge and an opportunity for continued creative growth.
