MARIA MADONNA TARRAYO

Maria Madonna Tarrayo’s ascent from the ranks proves that she’s not only a talented creative but is likewise a hardworking and capable leader. Her experiences from being a writer to production manager, executive producer to client services head, to president/ group COO and to her current position as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) have equipped her with the requisite leadership and management skills needed to deal with people from across a broad spectrum of ranks and roles.
Tarrayo graduated with a degree in Communication Arts major in Broadcasting, cum laude, from the University of the Philippines Diliman. She recently graduated from Academy of Art University in San Francisco, majoring in Communication and Media Technologies, summa cum laude. Madonna considers herself a producer at heart. As she leads the different teams in advertising and entertainment productions, she has also produced award-winning ads, films and series. Some of her works include 3 of Cinemalya’s best, “100”, “The Woman In The Septic Tank and Gitling. Her other films are “Isang Himala” for the MMFF, “Whistleblower” top-billed by National Artist Nora Aunor, and “I Do Bidoo Bidoo” and the upcoming Netflix film, Kontrabida Academy,.
Aside from films, she has also produced series such as LOL Philippines, the most successful Filipino content on Prime Video, Coke Studio Philippines, Comedy Island Philippines among others. She also served as Festival Director for CineFilipino, which has produced films such as “With All My Hypothalamus”, “The Eternity Between Seconds”, “The Last Cha Cha of Anita” among others.
Madonna is a staple in film festivals and markets. Last year, her series Love at 310, was selected to pitch in the Taiwan Creative Content Fest sponsored by TAICCA. In 2019, she was a featured producer in the Marche du Film in Cannes, and a delegate of the Busan Film Festival in 2017, 2018, and 2022.
At present, she concurrently heads the Commercial Production Houses Group (CPHG) and is VP for Internal of the Advertising Suppliers Association of the Philippines (ASAP).
